Fish care is massively important to Trakker and the carping community and so Trakker decided to make the ultimate Safe Sanctuary for carp with this Self Inflating Crib. The crib consists of an inflatable carp unhooking mat requiring no pump whatsoever as well as self-inflating walls that are attached via durable zips. The crib inflated by unrolling the mat, taking off the air cap and then letting the foam cells expand whilst you set up your peg for the rest of your fishing needs.

When fulling inflated, add the air cap and seal the air with the high-walled mat will offer excellent protection to your catch during the unhooking and photographic process. The special foam inside each cell means you do not require a pump to inflate this product. Once all the air has been expelled from the cell, you have a very compact package that takes up minimal space for convenient transportation. To assist in compression there is a Velcro strap that squeezes the excess air out.

The Trakker Sanctuary crib is made from fish friendly material and with plenty of cushioning on the base and the high walls to protect your catch whilst unhooking. This means the delicate scales of the carp will come to no harm in this cushioned paradise.

As comfortable as the crib sounds, be sure not to keep the carp in there for no longer than you need to. To remind you of this the crib has a rubber carp care guide included which informs anglers to make sure the crib is pre-inflated and the rest of your carp care kit is ready prior to taking the fish out of the water or retainer net. The Trakker carp care lines also stress to keep the fish wet whilst it is out of the water. This is where the walls of the cradle-like design really come in handy. It is able to not only protect the fish from flapping out like on unhooking mats but also to retain some water to keep the fish both carp and safe. You should never keep the fish out of the water for a long period, as soon as you are done weighing and taking a photo get the carp back to its watery home!

The last time that not only keeps your sanctuary crib clean and stink-free but ensure you do not spread disease from the carp in that particular venue to another. To avoid spreading, make sure to clean down and dry the crib completely before your next session! When dry the crib weighs around 3.15kg and its assembled size is 120 x 64 x 25cm.

To assist with cleaning being made easier, the air cells that self-inflate the crib can be removed for a deep clean of your crib. The base of the crib slides out when you unzip the section this also makes cleaning easy but benefits you when packing down after a session. Separating the base of the crib from the walls ensure a fully compact disassembly that then fits into the Sanctuary SI Welded Stink Bag which is sold separately.
